About Monica.
Monica
has a background in business, special needs and education. She is a qualified
linguist and educationalist with a particular interest in helping individuals
to believe in their ability.
Monica has a:
Master of Arts (Hons) in Languages and Literature (Edinburgh),
Master of Science in Education (Edinburgh),
Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (ILC Edinburgh),
and a Postgraduate Certificate in Specific Learning Difficulties (Napier).
She is a member of the Professional Association of Teachers of Students
with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS). She brings knowledge and understanding
from these disciplines into all aspects of her work. Drawing from her extensive
experience in dyslexia research in Scottish and Norwegian higher education,
Monica brings a unique knowledge to supporting dyslexic individuals.
She works with children and young people in compulsory education, students
in further and higher education, and individuals in the workplace.
In her work as a Dyslexia Consultant, Monica adopts an individual approach to supporting the dyslexic. She works with the strengths and weaknesses of the individual and her learning strategies are simply put. Her approach provides you with the tools necessary to manage your task and achieve your goal.
